Thrifted & Re-Lifted Round 2

Hello! It's been a month which means it's time for another round of Thrifted & Re-lifted! I've teamed up with some amazing bloggers to bring you thrifty makeovers that anyone can do themselves at home! We keep our thrifted finds under $30 and challenge ourselves to give it a new look, purpose, etc..We also want to invite you to link up at the end of the post with a makeover you have done! We will be featuring our favorite makeover on the next months blog post. No worries if you don't have a project completed already, you have all month to link up!

I want to start by featuring a link up from last months post. This Five Minute Farmhouse Footed Tray from Kim at Hunt & Host was just too cute!

I decided to do a quick and easy project for this months makeover. I bought this lamp at a flea market for $5.00! I bought it with the intention of giving it a makeover but wasn't sure what I was going to do exactly.

I had some ticking stripe fabric that was hanging on a blanket ladder in my living room and it hit me! I am slightly obsessed with anything ticking stripe so I knew I wanted to incorporate it into the lamp.

I started by cutting the amount of fabric I would need to wrap around the lamp.

I didn't need to iron it because I knew I would be pulling it tight, straightening out the wrinkles.

I basically wrapped the fabric around sections, hot gluing it as I went.

I intended for their to be several seams and I wanted the overlapping look. It doesn't have to be perfect. My home and style is mostly vintage, recycled, farmhouse, shabby...you get the picture!

I already had some chalk paint in white so I quickly painted the base. I put two coats on and it covered well!

I love the way it came out! It was super easy and it's much cuter than before. It fits in well with the rest of my decor and for less than 7 dollars including fabric, I'd say that's a win in my book!

Be sure to check out my friends makeovers below!
