Summer Tablescape | Summer Home Love

Hi friends, it's summertime! Once again I've teamed up with some amazing friends and fellow bloggers to bring you a blog hop! If your coming from Brandi at Don't Disturb This Groove Blog, welcome! Wasn't her home gorgeous?! This time we are sharing everything for summer! I've shared my summer, outdoor tablescape with some gorgeous products from Woodwaves Inc. that you will love!
Be sure to check out all the blogs in the tour for some inspiring ideas! Links are listed at the end of my post.

When I think of summer I think of red, white, and blue for Independence Day, so I knew I wanted to incorporate those colors into the setting. I actually found some inexpensive flowers from a local grocery store..some were blue and some were white and I found some with little, red berries. I had little flags, that I believe I found at the dollar store last summer, that I simply stuck into the sides of the flower arrangement.

This beautiful glass, tilted pitcher is from Woodwaves. I love the uniqueness of it! It's a very large pitcher so not only is it gorgeous for entertaining, it holds a lot of lemonade, water, or your beverage of choice for the summer! You can find it by clicking HERE.

I wanted something simple for the napkins. I already had white, cloth napkins, and I found some blue, gingham check ribbon and tied a piece around each napkin. Very budget friendly and cute!

This avocado wood, cheese and wine board is also from Woodwaves and it's the prettiest board ever! I love the rustic look it has. It also comes with a neat history, which I love. It's made from the wood of the Avocado tree and is 35-40+ years old. Click HERE to shop boards!

I recently visited a nearby flea market and found these drinking glasses for less than 5 bucks! I love the look they have! Add a lemon and it's perfect for summer iced tea or lemon water!

I love this "farm fresh" galvanized and wood tray! I love the wood detail on the handles. The tray comes in a set of two from Woodwaves. I highly recommend these! So many uses for them. I've already used mine twice! Find them HERE

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit my friends below by clicking on the links and following the blog hop. If you're following the hop, next stop is my friend Jessica at Honey n Hydrangeas! I hope you enjoyed my summer tablescape and maybe be inspired to create one yourself. My family enjoyed dinner sitting out in our deck. Also, be sure to visit Woodwaves for tons of unique home decor items. They also have a selection of gorgeous furniture for your home!

Black Olive Wallpaper from BohoWalls

Hi friends! It's probably no surprise by now that I put up wallpaper in yet another room! But...when I came across this beautiful Black Olive Wallpaper from BohoWalls on Etsy, I knew just the space I wanted to put it. Let me show you the before picture of this wall walking into our kitchen first.

Dining Room Wall Makeover with Woodwaves Inc.

Hi friends! I am so excited to finally show you guys what I have been working on. For about three years I have had a huge double bookcase in my dining room...I loved the bookcase but it just wasn't working as it was way too big for the small space. Here is what the bookcase and wall looked like below...

Little Heart Company Wooden Hearts

I recently came across the cutest company on Instagram! It's no lie I am obsessed with girls room decor so when I seen the little cactus heart made by Little Heart Company I fell in love! She was so kind and sent me three little hearts to use around my house. I've shared a few pics below of where I put them in my home!

Removable Wallpaper from Wall Pops

Hi friends! My older two girls shared bedroom is a room that I have been wanting to change up for awhile now. After competing Sadie's (my youngest daughter) room for the One Room Challenge last fall, (found HERE) I've been itching to get started on this room. My husband and I put up wallpaper in Sadie's room and it's one of my favorite things ever! I knew I wanted to put up wallpaper again so I found Wall Pops. Wall Pops has a wallpaper called "NuWallpaper" and it's completely removable. Meaning you can peel it off and stick it back on super easily! Both of my girls have a very, bright floral comforter on their beds so I knew I wanted to go with something pretty muted. I chose this white and grey pattern called "Gray Woods" and oh my gosh...it's even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! The best part...my daughters love it! My oldest daughter, Emma, is actually very picky so this felt like a win!

Shutter Doors in the Dining Room

Hi friends! I wanted to share with you a little update that I did in my dining room! I've been wanting to add something else to the wall on the sides of my milk glass shelf for awhile now...well I found the perfect shutter doors to put there! As some of you may know, I have a booth at Mile High Designs in Sand Springs. These shutter doors were there and as soon as I seen them I knew I had to have them! Here is what they looked like before.

I loved the distressed color they were but I wanted them to be apart. I unscrewed the hinges, gave them a quick wipe down and they were ready to go!

I hung these prints, that I had on the wall already, on to the shutter part of the door.

I love these prints from Volume Twenty Five.  The bison is one of my favorite animals so I try to incorporate it in my home whenever I can. I also love this "Antler Study" from Vol25.

I am absolutely in love with how they look in my dining room! I would love to know your thoughts below. Thanks for stopping by!

Unicorn Birthday Party

OK...I think I need to confess before sharing my daughter's unicorn themed birthday party.  I may have chose the unicorn theme more for me than I did for her....BUT...she loved all of it! I had so much fun planning and creating this party for her. I used a lot of DIY's I found on other blogs which helped a ton in the cost. I shared all of the sources I can below in the post and I have included a "shop the party" link at the bottom.

I am still kicking myself for not getting a picture of the completed table with my rainbow cupcakes on it. Some of the things I made myself were the glitter tulle skirt, the rainbow tassel banner, the print in the frame, the headbands, and the tags for the party favors. The glitter, tulle skirt was super easy to make! I found the glitter tulle at Walmart in rolls but I have found a set on Amazon you can find HERE. Be prepared to find glitter for weeks though! The tassel banner was made from tissue paper. I just bought multiple colors from the dollar store and found a tutorial  HERE. The gold dot banner I also found on Amazon and have linked them HERE.

I absolutely love this unicorn head and the best part is I can use it as decor in her bedroom. I found a similar one HERE. I had this frame already in my daughter's room. It was actually a mirror and I took the mirror out for the party. The little, paper rose garland was from the dollar spot in Target awhile back.

I made this little "unicorn fur" cutout on PowerPoint and printed it to tape on the top of this three tiered stand. I filled these mini, snack cups (found HERE) with cotton candy.

I had a really simple set-up for the kids table. I used pastel paper plates in alternate colors that I found super cheap at Walmart.

Probably my favorite thing at the party were these plush, little unicorns I used as party favors. I found them from Oriental Trading Co.  I believe they come in sets of 12.

Again, using PowerPoint, I made these little party favor tags to wrap around the unicorns.

I found a tutorial (found HERE) for the felt part of these unicorn headbands, then bought some plastic, white headbands from Amazon to glue them onto. (Headbands found HERE)  I found some gold bow wire at Walmart for less than a dollar to wrap around them.

I love these rainbow cups I found HERE for the kids to use! They can also take them home with them after the party.

Another DIY for the party was this printable I created. I already had the white frame so I displayed it on the table for decoration.

I made these rainbow cupcakes from another tutorial I found HERE. They in no way look as good as the ones from the tutorial I found...but they were delicious anyway!

My local grocery store had these purple and turquoise flowers that I thought were perfect for a unicorn party!

So I have this amazing best friend who happens to be awesome at making sugar cookies. She made me these unicorn themed cookies for Sadie's party and they are beyond cute!! Thank you Shelby @ Sweetlings Cookies!

I love the little gold, glitter details!

I put some twisty, rainbow suckers in a milk glass jars on the table as well.

Sadie had the best birthday! She definately loved every minute of it.
